[Lost PR3 to NA]

Discussion in 'Google' started by FunMan, Aug 9, 2009.

2 days back my free wordpress blog lost pr from pr3 to NA. I did not do anything (sold or bought links) for last few weeks. I did business about 6 to 7 months back. How could it lose PR now (as punishment by big G), instead of 6 months back?
Can anyone tell me the reason of pr loss to NA.
    Thanks in advance.

did you do link exchanges?I see many blogs's PR reduced to N/A because of links exchanges. This has been happening since August 7 2009.

Links exchange if made with the sites having nearly same PR and same niche will not hurt..Actually Google encourages these kind of practice ..
But if the link exchange is done with sole commercial purpose and the sites niche is different then it might cause penalize by the google

Page Rank is highly changeable and you have to keep building new backlinks to your site. It could be that the previous links you have relied upon have lost page rank which has had a knock on effect upon you.

If your web traffic has not changed, do not worry about PR.

PR is not a important factor,,,,,, site in 1st position for competitive keyword has no page rank,,, but other has minimum PR3...... nobody can understand google.

Its probably a temporary change. But, you should work on getting backlinks continuously.

check your page rank at this place and see what it says, www.pageranktool.net - that one gives quite a different pr than www.digpagerank.com or this one, www.domainpagerank.com - sometimes well more often than before

tamberlake is quite right too, many pr data centers have been down - hence a pr n/a

i am finding that sites are sometimes showing pr n/a or pr 0 depending on which page rank checker one is using, and it's been like that for several days - and then i use the first pagerank tool above and see the pr that the site is normally accustomed to. i am a bit bewildered myself, as I've checked some pr 5 and 6 sites and my understanding is that these don't usually go to pr 0 so easily (they haven't been penalized) and I have read that if there isn't a real big change in your serps, then it's perhaps/more than likely a google glitch. so your site may actually still be pr 3

PR isn't worthless as seopink stated. I'd just give it some day and it should restore next PR update.

I agree with you, PR certainly has some value otherwise the pr system would not exist.
Hope it gains pr back soon.

There is an important difference between PR0 and PR N/A. The latter could mean that your site is completely banned and removed from Google's index. In that case, it is an all-important indicator.

I would check whether your site is still indexed by Google. If so, it probably means that the datacentres serving PR are down.
