I need to install my NIS on a new laptop, I have the disk but lost my code. Is there any way to pull the code out of my existing application to reuse, since I still have two installs left?
I'm not sure, but if you can't find it I would recommend to just ditch Norton. Use AVG Free. Its free and uses almost no system resources while not running. Norton slows down your system so much its almost as bad as having spyware. http://free.grisoft.com/
take the loss of the code as a blessing in disguise AVG (AV)/Zonealarm (Firewall) are much BEtter IMO
I need as well so i sent email to Nortons and they fixed me up with new passwords ect ,ect...as i had download through internet and didn't have a disk.
Only the rest of that resource hungry, over priced suite of rubbish to lose now then.. Take timsdd's advice AGV anti-virus and ZoneAlarm...
The luck was calling but you hanged out !!!! Get rid of Norton , you are wasting much of your PC resources , install kaspersky
I think you should seriously consider it. The only people that love it are the ones that have never tried anything else. There are plenty of FREE options you might look into that work great. I don't use those free ones anymore, not b/c I didn't like them or b/c they didn't do a good job but for another feature I was dying to get my hands on (spam filter) so I went with Zonealarm Security Suite....but like I have been saying, along with about 3 other in this thread so far...Norton is a system resource hog among other things. Heck, my Dad had it on his PC and it killed it!! Here's another little Norton story...they fired a disgruntled employee who in turn wrote & unleashed a security exploit for the program...affected many business including my wife's...She had to jump through about 17 hoops and spend 36 hours on 18 different PC's trying to get them straightened out again.
