Hello there I used to have number one position for the popular keyword: 'trucking' - for the web site http://www.loadmove.com Now I lost my position and I haven't changed anything, can you help? any ideas?
What position have you moved to? Find the ones that over took you, take a look at their sites, find their backlinks, find where they're mentioned. And try to mimick it.
lonny i did the search trucking and didnt see your site in the top 1000, ive read about people getting clipped around the beginning of nov ... ive read yahoo is more focused on links but you seem to have a good PR / links areas i would think about ... the home page redirects to loadmove.com/directory which page was listed first the /directory or the home page ? has it always done this ? what type of redirect are you using ? do all of your incoming links go to the directory page or the home page? ... you have trucking 4 times in the title and 5 in the description in your metatags, i would compare to top sites and think about trying to tone those back a bit
Yahoo recently went through an update. Keyword density might be too high. Did you compare it to the other sites now coming up 1st page?
if you don't continuousy try to improve your site, your ranking would probably drop as your competitors are trying to improve theirs...
Thanks for the tip, it's a quality site, so I hope I'll be able to get it back, so, the redirection is problematic? didn't know that so far. the site is setup on loadmove.com/Directory - what can I do in order to make it work? I'm using the permenant redirction via cPanel - any other type of SE friendly redirection? All the incoming links are linking to loadmove.com not the loadmove.com/Directory regarding the keywords, the trucking word appears quite often on my site as well as the meta, so you suggest to make it apear only once in the meta tags? won't it ruin the SE position on other search engines?
ok, removed the redirection, loadmove.com/index.html is working now, hope that it would make a difference...
You also may have tripped a yahoo filter due to the 50,000 inbound links. My guess is you'll still be spidered (aka not banned) but you won't get any rankings.
well, it's been over 2 weeks like this, revenues is down, I see no point of waiting, I've redesigned the site removed redirection, anything else I should do in your opinion?
