Hi, I registered a domain through torxhost.com and then the site went through an overhaul and I think it was sold.. anyways, I let my hosting runout on the site and now I cannot log into the site since it was renovated and I cannot find my domain... How do I get it back? A whois told me that it was registered with www.publicdomainregistry.com but I cannot figure out how to get access to my domain... :S HELP!
Hello, Your domain and webhosting account got terminated because your broke our TOS! (Hosting a proxy) you got warned trough a mail that you did not follow up or removed your website.. Therefor your site got terminated and all rights to it lost I have sent you an email on the mail you provided in our Support system with a solution.. Thanks, Freddy
I can understand killing his hosting, but taking away his domain? Sounds like one company to stay away from.
Hello, Who said we have taken away his domain? He simply sends us an ticket were he is wondering what is going on with his domain! And we responded that we could change the DNS for an administration fee or send him the domain to a new registrar for free.. But, as we don't get any respons from him, then its not much we can do now is it? Thanks, Freddy
Your provider's contract dictates one another's rights. None says you own the domain name no matter what, more so if you violate any of their terms.
You did: So you think it's ok Godaddy takes away my domains if they don't like what I'm hosting on them with another hosting company?
Hello, I am not saying that its OK, and his domain is not gone, nor sold or lost! But he broke our rules by hosting a Proxy on our servers.. He got warned and did nothing about it.. 3 weeks later he sends us a ticket asking for his domain, i respond with a solution on how he can recive his domain! And i have simply got no reply, then i found this thread with a search on DP, and found it usefull to reply.. As we have done nothing wrong when handleing this situation, and i have talked with several webhosting companies asking how they handle such a situation, and i am told that i am doing the correct thing.. The domain is his, offcours it is, he paid for it... But we don't offer a DNS service of any kind were he can manage his domain, it goes all trough tickets! Thanks, Freddy
