Lost Backlinks After Posting My Last Article

I regularly submit original articles for my web site Alternative-Heating-Info.com to about 100 different directories and blogs. My latest submission did wonders for traffic, but according to Good Keywords I had a net loss of 55 MSN links. The Google and Altavista links count remained the same. Can anyone explain this?

Google links update periodically, so the links you see using the "link" command are actually from quite some time ago (however it stills factors your current number of links into play, multiple amounts of times per day). MSN updates a great deal more regularly. You'll find fluctuating links if you're running things such as the co-op, where the engine's spiders hasn't "found" the links to your site just yet.

Google's link command is a joke and Google haven't supplied the correct count for sometime now, normally only showing a handful. It's a shame :(

I would expect this has been spoken about here many times, so I'll stop...
