Hello, I am running a site named www.techlime.com but i am getting few problems in Google search ranking. i am running this site from 2 years and publishing the news about technology, mobile, laptops, gadgets etc. my blog platform is wordpress. the blog is running good in traffic i got around 5500 Absolute Unique Visitors Daily in the period of January 1 to March 30. then i upgrade my server. Unfortunately when i copied the site to the new server htaccess file missed to copy. so all of my pages turns into 404 pages (as i am using mod rewrite permalink structure) but front page is working fine. after 3 days when i checked the webmaster panel its show there are 34000 pages 404 not found. i immediately check the site and found htaccess missing. then i upload it back. but from now i lose my traffic and got around 1200 Absolute Unique Visitors Daily. now my index pages are decreased to 7400, previously the index pages were around 85000 But i keep my eyes open on the webmaster panel and deleting all the expired pages and also the duplicate page content and title. From July 20 my site is back on track my and my daily visitors increasing day by day. in August 20 i got around 2500 Unique visitors daily and the number of visitors are still increasing and now there are now 404 pages in webmaster panel. on September 20 the visitor count hits 4000 unique daily visitors. and Google crawl rate increased and its crawling my site daily. then i also check my robots.txt and made some change and blocked the unnecessary content. (now my indexed pages in Google are 13000) till October 12, my daily visitors are increasing day by day and i got more visitors from the previous day Yesterday Daily unique visitors are 5100. my site rank higher in many keywords i am listing few keywords where my site ranked in top 4 sony ericsson xperia x2 samsung r450 sony ericsson x2 philips 21.9 toyota fortuner ati 5850 review intex mobiles samsung r450 Now the index pages in Google are 18000 But on October 13 when i checked my Visitors its around 700 in just 14 hours i immediately checked my server because my server is running from 192 days continuously and i thought its hanged or stucked. but the server is running fine and the load are normal. then i checked my other sites there traffic are normal like the other days. Now i checked my Google index page with site:techlime.com now the pages are 84500. one day before they were 18000. i am really confused. then i search the google for "techlime" and amazed to see there is no result to techlime.com in first page then i checked the 6 more pages and found my site is showing on 6th page on 3rd number. then i check all the top keywords and found nothing is showing on top 5 pages. some keywords are on 10th page. when i typing this message my unique visitors are 870 (on normal days the were 3500) so there is a huge drop in daily visitors Now the problem is i don't know what happened to my site. because i have done nothing wrong to my site this time (nothing like changing the server or SEO tricks) i never done related to SEO to my site. i just using the top SEO plug ins for wordpress like. ALL IN ONE SEO, SEO TITLE, SEO IMAGE, AUTO LINKS Could you guys please help me out what happened to my site. you guys are having well knowledge about Google and surely help me out of this situation. I am waiting for your answers.
i just checked in google for site:techlime.com and it says 18000 indexed pages. did u make sure ur site don't suffer from any trojan/virus?
You have added about 5 Adsense ads per page. Is that ok? or it may be the reason that somebody complaints Google about that. Well not quite sure about it.
I face with similar problem with my site for past two days, I think google might be making some changes in data centers that may be causing this problem, I checked my blog with site:myblogurl and it normally has 415 pages indexed, and I checked just before two hours it showed me 850 indexed pages and I made the search again after five minutes it showed me 410 pages again. Also my latest posts are not appearing in search results. I guess I will wait for few day or else I will try to contact for support from Google about this strange behavior.
Hello Guys Thanks for the reply Web67 just check this link h*ttp://www.google.com/search?q=site%3ATechlime.com and its still showing me 84700 pages index in google. Ameena: just tell me one thing is there any huge traffic drop from search engine or you just notice the index pages on google? someone told me i am publishing the copied content so google dropped my ranking. but i dont think so because many other sites doing the same. also with the automatic method. Please guys help me...
my traffic remains the same.. its just that my indexed pages are not showing in search results. And yes google penalizes copied content when they find it out. that could be the possible reason, I don't use copied content on my blog, I write my own articles. regards
