For about 5 days in october, one of our domain names www.diy-dating.com went offline. Upon the domain name coming back online I noticed that google last spidered the site 1 day after the domain went offline, as a result the domain no longer has any page rank. I resubmitted the site to google sitemaps along with www.diydating.com and the site has been spidered several times, however im still not getting any pagerank at all. The site still appears in google. Im not sure what else i can do. Any advice on this would be appreciated. Thanks

If it is still indexed and serp's are ok, then don't worry about pr. Only thing that really matters is serp's.

yes the serp's and indexing is fine. I just could not understand how a pr3-4 site would suddenly lose all page rank on 2 domains at the same time. And no matter what i do i cant seem to get google to give the site a page rank.

I'm not entily sure about this, but it sounds like you were de-indexed and lost all PR whilst offline, so the toolbar was updated accordingly. However when you came back online, you have been spidered and retained your serp's, but as the toolbar update only happens every few months, you may not see the PR again until the next toolbar update.

This would depend on the toolbar dropping PR at the time, perhaps someone else knows if it works this way?

but only the www.diy-dating.com name went offline, the www.diydating.com stayed online however both domains lost the pagerank on the toolbar

Propably you got those 2 domains linked together with reciprocal linking, right? In that case Google after it discovered that one of the two sites are down, made the page rank zero to both since a site (for Google) mustnot have reciprocal linking to any site that it's not published. Don't woory though, you will get your page rank back very quickly.

Deep linking is the key to increase your PR...

Try to build links by linking deep... By submitting your pages to directories that accept deep link submissions...

Do not rely more on PR. Focus on your SERP. Thunderbolt is right, deep link is the answer fo your problem about PR.

Tough luck, you must now wait for the next PR update to get back your PR.
