lost a lot of traffic from google

Hello,

I have a site that was well positioned on google until yesterday night for several keywords.

Now i got a huge drop on traffic and a lot of the keywords are not well ranked anymore.

All the pages are still indexed, so it was not a ban.

Anyone had this issue as well? will this be temporary?

 

Tell us something about your website ... like how old it is ... and did u purchased links from somewhere or you bought some directory submitting package ?? If possible provide with the website URL.

I used to get about 20-30 visitors daily from Google.

Then 2 days ago, I got 6 visitors, and today, I got 3(only 3 hours left until tomorrow).

Something has changed with Google.

 

my domain is 3 years old and my site has around 4 months.

It was getting 1000 uniques per hour most from google but now dropped sharply.

I didnt purchase any link or submit to directories

All i did was to post in foruns related to the subject of the site and updaded the site with videos that i used to do everyday since i launched it. so i didnt change anything.

Maybe it is related to a change on google algoritm.

 

Well.....earlier in jan it happend with some sites as some sites ranked among top for long dropped their ranking as because of -Google's position 6 penalty

the same happed with my site. Page one on google SERPS for several high searched keywords. Now my page is nowhere to be found for thoese keywords, but my site is still indexed.

 

It may be big issue.

 

Is it a site youngher then 1 year .....

Google Dancing -> in 2 weeks it should be back as it was ....

It is really difficult to find out the reason for your drop out... There are so many factors

 

The same thing happened to me in January with one of my sites- in 2 weeks it was back up again.

now a few days ago it dropped again - probably with the same change that got yours. I can only hope it will come back again. I think Google drops sites and then analyzes if they still get traffic being buried in the ratings and the self corrects because it still pulls viewers. i wrote an article about this phenomena.

 

The search engine just reorganized rankinngs. Hope your website didn't considered as a spamming one. Many websites lost ranks these days.

 

Same problem with my site for last two weeks. My site traffic will drop and the keywords was gone in SERP ranking. All I did was continue link building. Submit my site to directory wih PR already, join some forums and guess what, my SERP position is back in #3 in google result.

 

happens all the time...give it a few days before you start to get worried

 

If you haven't made any major changes to your site or how you operate it, I think it is safe to assume that this is just a temporary glitch.

My advice would be to keep your site as it is now - Do not start making any rash changes, and see how it performs over the coming week or so.

yes I have also experience same with one of my sites that is 3 years old and i had my site in top 5 in all major keys but suddenly it disappeared from SERP's and i am not able find what has happened, all my pages are still indexed in google.....

 

If its a new site then you will see many ups and downs

 

On the contrary I receive more traffic the last 2 days.
It could be related to the PR update.

 

i dont know, but i was getting about 2000 uniques to my music blog, and now im getting like 100 uniques a day... thats a huge drop!! my blog is still indexed... so i will wait to see whats going to do google...

 

Same thing happened from last sunday ... 400-500 uniques to now just 30-40 uniques!
