    Hi all,

I got a website with PR3 but soonthe PR became 0 . The seller said that its common when we purchase a Dropped site. can some one explain why this happened?

Is there any ways to avoid it

Is that a dropped domain or just an expired domain?

Dropped Domains loose their age and Pagerank.(Chances of regaining the PR is less)

Expired Domains do not loose their Age or Pagerank(Even if they loose the PR,They have a hi probability of regaining them back)

This is indeed a very common occurrence during domain transfers. Did you maintain all the content after the transfer? If not that would explain it right away.

Even if you did however... I still know of cases where the PR still drops to 0

Try to make sure site is as close as posssible to orginal one hosted. Use same keywords and try to get some more links with them in it. The domain name could loose Pr because it lost links or they noticed it was new site not old one and will redo Pr according to new site.

    What is a Dropped Domain

    What is a Expired Domain

Kindly explain friends. So what i understand is i should get only Expired domains and try to recreate the very same content with related Key words. Thanks for the ideas and can some one say if this is a suggestion or a confirmed solution ?

How to Identify if its a dropped domain or an expired Domain?

the PR will get back in a couple of weeks. This is why you can buy domains for cheap.

One simple solution: Don't buy dropped/expired domains and if you must, don't place much value on the pagerank because it most likely will disappear.
