When I started project, one of my client was having 700+ backlinks, but when I saw today it is now having only 540 backlinks....

How this is possible? Does any one know about this?

Backlinks keeps on updating all the time, try to check your backlinks even in Google Webmasters tools or using Yahoo Site Explorer.. and you will get more accurate results ;)

It must be the webmaster who remove your links.

use backlinkwatch. Links change all the time - people take them down, pages get deleted, websites go bust, pages get deindexed becasue the site is too 'spammy', or perhaps your server was down when the googlebot tried to visit... get used to it.

I did the same....but I am worried about Google and not Yahoo.

But is there any rick factor when i am getting down with my backlinks in Google..
