Losing weight ...

I am wondering if someone could help me to understand why we lose our weight. We have small website, PR3, 500 pages, 5 text ads on every page. Yesterday morning we had 7K, but in the evening it dropped to 5.2K. 1 day later it is 5.1K. I've added maybe 3 more pages during the day, no more changes on our end.. any ideas?

 

I don't know, give it a day or two and maybe it'll come back. Mine fluctuates all the time as well. Went from 54K to 777 for a few days, then today went back up to 54K. But I've seen it happen all the time, I've just grown to ignore it and revalidate.

 

Google does strange things...

I had a site that was giving me over 13k in weight. Now it gives me 1,200, and still going down...

Also, remember it's the number of pages that google has in its index via the API tool. So just because you added pages today, doesn't mean google indexed them yet.

 

It's getting interesting - today our weight is 9.4K. Wahoo!! I am not daring to re-validate...
