I'm making SEO for my website for two months. I started to achieve some good positions for the most two important keywords for my website which their competition is quite high! This week surprisingly I suddenly lost my position? I was at 5th page on one keyword and I was on 7th page on the other keyword. Now, I'm not in the first 25 page on these keywords. I don't think I'm applying a blackhat SEO technique. I'm getting one way manual backlinks from high PR directories, articles, blogs, socialbookmarking. What is the reason for this sudden breakdown? If someone can figure out the possible reasons, I will be glad to learn them. Thanks.
If the site is new, ir normal. If it's an old ans estabilished website, then you have problems: > at your site > at dumb google that is delivering spam results as never did
This is referred to as the Google sandbox. New websites often drop in ranking shortly after getting indexed. It can take 6 - 10 months to get out of the sandbox. In the meantime, just keep work at adding unique content and getting quality backlinks.
6-10 months? Are you serious? Maybe if you don't build a single backlink! None of my websites go through the Google sandbox anymore- just get a few hundred backlinks to the page and you're golden. I get pages indexed within 48 hours all the time, and they stick.
are you sure that this is a sandbox situation? Because my site is indexed on Google without any problem. My site has been on the first page of Google for many keyword phrases but not those two keywords which are the most important for me. So is this a sandbox or something different? As I told you until last week, my website had rankings (5th and 7th page) for those two important keywords but now I can't find my site in the first 25 page for those two keywords.
just wait for 1-2 weeks and keep making the same no of backlinks for these keywords.. If your site get the position back .. good. else Wait for 5-6 months
I would advice you to add new content. Optimize several texts for your main keywords and wait till Google will notice them. I think you'll go back to your positions is you'll update your content regularly
