I am losing keyword rankings for titles on post. This is what is happening. Lets say i am getting 500 hits from the keyword "tom cruise movie", and I apppear #1 on google, then the next day I am 3rd down the list on the first page, and then 3 days later I am not even on the first page. This has been happening a lot. Unique content is published, over 6 thousand articles written and stuck at the same hits for about 8 months or so. Is a weird thing and I am out of ideas. Anyone out there has experience the same problem and has resolved it or has an idea why might be happening.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks

It's a long shot but have you changed any submenu software? When we started using Macromedia for submenus, Google couldn't follow the links and so pages dropped out of index - we changed to Opencube and the pages all came back again.
I've also heard that people who spam (eg stuff keywords into pages too much or buy/sell links) can get penalised - not sure if this is case for you.
