As i have learnt, if there are too many Outbound Links (OBL) from a blog, then Google will reduce the pagerank of the site (eventually). What i would like to know is: how many OBL's are considered too much to be penalised ?? Is there a ratio between Outbound and Incoming Links perhaps ?? All help is greatly appreciated ...........
I have several wordpress amazon review blogs and I have a TON of outbound links all to amazon. I usually have like 5 or more per post to help increase the chance of conversions. I use a plugin called WP Nofollow Post. This ensures that all my outbound links are nofollow and I haven't noticed any issues with my PR being dropped at all. Hope this helps! if you don't have wordpress then i'm not much help
Quality of in and out bound link are the main factor, number of in and out bound links are not factor. So you should be concerned about quality of links.
Well obviously I wouldn't suggest u to have too many OBL's like running in few hundreds to thousands bcoz that would always Warn Google of suspicious activity but having limited OBL's pointing to good quality sites..will not impact ur PageRank or Google Rankings...Remember it's not always bad to have OBL but one need to ensure they don';t point to bad network of sites..
