My site www.cheekywoof.com was doing not bad with about 100 visitors per day for about 3 weeks then dropped down to about 20-30 per day. My total pages indexed have dropped to about 1/3 of what i had a few days ago so I am guessing thats what it is down to. Can anyone tell me why that might have happened ? The only thing I can think of is that many of the pages have similar meta descriptions (Duplicate??) with a few words changed here and there (you can see what I mean here) Thanks for any help I can get with this.
I doubt that the meta descriptions could be affecting your rankings that way, I'm curious as well to find out what's wrong.
my friends news web site dropped from 698.000 to 17.400 I think you must write small texts to every page of your sub pages and update your meta description for every page. Also you may submit your sitemap.xml again. I see your site has a problem with cheekywoof.com/robots.txt Please check it
Hmm or another theory is the Sandbox. I kicked this site off in Septmber and I was averaging around 20 hits a day. Come early november then I am getting about 100 hits a day. A few days ago I am back down to about 20 hits per day. Low and behold in the last 5 days i am only getting about 9% of my traffic from google. What do you guys reckon ? Sandbox action ? Does this refer to the age of the site or the age of the domain.....the domain is over 9 months old and I had a different site on it for alot of those months. I started my current site in September.
