Lose Google rankings for all sites - update or penalty? Need help

    I lose my Google rankings for all of my websites. All are of different industry and themes. All sites are on the same servers and we does interlined them to get link benefit.

    Before 20th January all sites are in first 10 positions for all the competitive keywords on Google suddenly on 21st morning we lose all rankings for all site suddenly. Few sites are having same theme and I interlinked them with each other so I can understand that it may because of same hosting server interlinking. But few of them are not interlinked but are on the same server. Does this thing affect other sites?

    We haven’t done any black hat SEO. Than what is the reason for ranking drops. Is there any update going on with Google, I came to know that Google is updating so does it because of this. Or my sites got penalty. It was previously on the first page for most of the keywords now it on 6 to 7 page.

    What is the reason and what is the solution for this.

    Google may updates some thing so Don't worry about that your site will come back to normal soon...

    You not sure weather the update is going on or not...? Does any body here facing this kind of problem??

    Usually Google does check if sites are being inter linked from same server. but that shouldn't be the only reason why you lost all site rankings. May be they will update and you will get back ranking for few sites.

    I think things would be better if the google rank disapeared on all web sites ...

    You shouldn't interlinking all of your site, especially if they're in the same server and different theme.
    Perhaps you should remove "unnecessary" links and pray for your ranking.

    Inter linking between your sites may be the culprit but only when you done it heavily. And if you linked sites just the shake of telling your visitors that you hold few more sites then this must not be the reason. You reserve right to tell visitors which other sites you hold.

    Regarding google update, recently there is not such big update. But google is going (may be) to change its algo heavily in second half of this year. Best way is to follow only white hat (ethical).
