Don't be panic. As you know google sometimes de-index sites at there update time, so if you didn't do any wrong with your website like any spamming its will be back with existing page rank in my experience...

I would be VERY panic. I never ever seee a pr 6 went down to pr 0 overnight. I've seen it went down to 5 or even 4 but not 0. Did you buy the domain? If so, this is probably why. Google will erase the pr if they see your site has a new topic different than the PR 6 site had.

To my experience it might be Google dance. wait for few days and see what happens, otherwise if you see your site still is pr 0, then contact Google (if you have not done anything wrong like spamming).

A drop in PageRank from 6 to 0 is an almost certain indication of a penalty being imposed. Has your Google organic traffic dried up?

Ah OK. If the number of indexed pages for your domain has indeed dropped to zero, you have effectively been de-indexed - which is a sign of a severe penalty. The frustrating thing is that you can't confirm the penalty status with the search engine - but left to resort to interpretation and speculation to explain the traffic drop and de-indexing. Why not consider joining our campaign which calls for search engines to disclose the penalty status to website owners. Simply submit your experience as a case study here.

    Thank you
    Marc
