Im gonna say that video was very nicely put with some thinks that make you think but the bottom line is that there is no reason why the US government would do such thing.... for monetary gain the insurance? ha! How much money was lost from the building of the WTC and from the economic crisis downtown manhattan suffered after it.

I don't really think the government has that many idiots to agree on something like this, because the way our government works right now it takes more than one idiot for this to happen :p

Perhaps you should have said "go read fact", not fiction. Cell phones do work at that altitude. In fact a couple years ago, the FCC began the process to consider making the use of cell phones in flight, legal.

Man how embarrassing it must be to have been suckered into believing that video. My suggestion is watch the 78' version of
    "Superman" and try flying too.

Interesting... I took the time to point out some inaccuracies in the first few minutes of this video, and no one has even countered. The truth shall set you free.

BTW, just an FYI on this molten metal crap. That "steel" was actually aluminum.

This thread has got to be one of the most looney I have seen yet.

Proof? Facts? Evidence? And I'm not accepting the bed time story your mommy told you last night as evidence...

Yo-yo, even Al jazeera, the hard-die conspiracy news-network doesn't mention any lower latitudes then 8.000 feets.

altitude (feet) // probability of cellphone call getting through
    4,000 // 0.400
    8,000 // 0.100
    12,000 // 0.040
    16,000 // 0.025
    20,000 // 0.016
    24,000 // 0.011
    28,000 // 0.008
    32,000 // 0.006

    http://www.physics911.net/projectachilles.htm

The planes they were in on 9/11 was flying at 35,000 feet giving it less than a 0.006 chance of EACH call getting through.. yet something like 13 calls got through

It is known that in the final moments of the flight Edward Felt dialed 911 from his cell phone from the lavatory of the aircraft which was answered by dispatcher John Shaw. Felt was able to tell the dispatcher about the hijacking before the call was out of range and subsequently disconnected.

Well how do you know that those people that did the cellphone experiment are honest? Don't you think that they just hate Bush since they are canadians.

No offense intended just think of this:

They spent a damn long time to get to those rates huh?

Lets do some more physics. To get an accurate percentage Id say you will have to do at least 100 phone calls. 0.4%??? That means 1/4 of 1 phone call got through if they made 100 phone calls! Okay so they must have made more than 100 phone calls , right? To get that accuracy of 0.4%... so they made 1000 phone calls then and only 4 went through and they got to that figure....

Can you imagine how many phone calls they had to make to get the precision of 0.006%?

I mean honestly, there is a limit to how precise you can get and they would have been more convincing if they had posted something along the line sof 6%, 5%, 4%, 3%, 2%, 1% min... i doubt they were up there making 10,000 phone calls to get the 0.006% accuracy.

    ---adding:

    Also...

It says that the chance of a phone call going through at 32000 feet is 0.006%... how the hell did they get this number when this is:

    9753m above sea level. (1 feet = 0.3m)

Their plane maximum operational altitude is 5364m (http://www.diamond-air.at/download/productfacts/da20evo_factsheet.pdf) or 17598 feet.

In other words the best they could of gotten without making an equation that they assumed was correct and plugging in number is the 16,000 feet level. Which says there is a 0.025 chance of a phone call getting through. Okay, so to find this out they made 10,000 phone calls and 25 got through :) Unless of course they mean 2.5% not 0.025% ... in that case they made 100 phone calls and 2 1/2 got through? 1/2!!?

Seiya, learn how to read and the click the link I put as a source. They clearly explain their work and how they got the numbers. It's not rocket science.

Even the reader comments corroborate the experiments:

My main point is that its impossible to provide a reading more accurate than your instruments are. Hence, they should be unable to provide a 0.006% accuracy when their instruments never gave them that reading just as you are unable to tell me this is 1 millimeter long when all you have is a ruler with centimeter readings on it.

The question is why you never can provide anything usefull. You point to several anti-bush sources and say that this is true.

BTW.. the research was done by some whiny anti-bush kids in Canada. It doesn't proove anything to me other than that liberals are willing to do anything to set Bush under pressure.

You said earlier that the hitted section in Pentagon was empty, then you suddenly switched your opinion and said that people within the section died.

I think that this prooves yo-yo:s hypcratically very well. He doesn't base his arguments on facts, rather on what is anti-Bush. Don't take this man seriously.
