CORRECT!!! Or, more accurately, the French government is anti-Semitic, and always has been. It goes back years. For example, here's a treatment by the International Napoleonic Society (of which I am a Member):
http://www.napoleon-series.org/ins/weider/c_jews.html

When England enacted the Balfour Agreement establishing the State of Israel, French authorities were outraged. And, when the United States declared support for Israel, the French government was outraged. And France has been against the United States ever since.

Who sold uranium to Iran in the 1980s? France! Who was blackmarketing Iraqi oil in violation of UN sanctions? France! Who sold weapons to Argentina so that they could fight England during the Falkland's war? France! Who was Saddam Hussein's closest ally? France! Who strongly objected to the USA invading Iraq because they had highly lucrative contracts with the Iraqi government? France!

And, now that we know that Saddam has his WMDs shipped off to Syria in stripped-down 747's, why aren't we going after them? Because once we find them, and if the radioactive tags determine that the radioactive material came from - FRANCE - what do we do then?

France has been a history of incompetence. They provoked Germany and practically started both world wars. They prosecuted innocent Jewish citizens (ex: The Dreyfus Incident). They had soldier rebellions during WWI who were outraged over the total incompetence of the French generals and government.

And, lest we forget, witness the past year of rebellions of the French people against their ultra-liberal Socialist government.

Thanks very much, Mia!

As far as airport security, I was specifically commenting on Boston. But I understand your point very clearly. I once had a tiny knife confiscated from me - the blade was a little over 1" long, and was spring activated. I bought it as a letter opener. When the security person saw it, his eyes lit up with an "I want this!" glow - and he took it.

Yes, you are correct, Logan's pretty much always been a shit hole (no offense). My most confiscated items at the airport:

mini screw drivers
interesting shinny pens
pen knives

Basically anything that looks cool. This was pre-911. Post 9/11 and very recently on a trip to Dallas the TSA 450lb dope at check point alpha at O'hare decided he needed to take a mini flip out screw driver kit that I got from Lucent years ago.. I kept it around for things like eye glasses, etc. It was perfect for real tiny screws, so I always kept it in my bit-o-kit. Anyway, after a brief argument he brought another of the TSA clan over and when I said "eye glasses repair kit", he said, "yes, he can keep it, those are aloud". As I put it away and began to look for my shoes (that is another retarded thing) the fat slob TSA agent that hassled me in the first place said "word of advice (bad breath wafting in my face), pack it in your luggage next time... next time you may not be so lucky." Bastards lucky I did not just stab him in the face with the thing.

My biggest pet peeve are those "magnetometers" as the TSA ingrates like to call them. It's not a "magnetometer", it is a METAL DETECTOR. My dad used to own the company that made the damn things. I have a pretty good grasp of the technologies, know how there made, and I can say with complete certainty that those sending you through them have no idea how to operate them.

Ever notice belt buckles, watches, money and other items setting the thing off? They have the sensitivity turned up way too high. If you are carrying a gun, the metal detector will find it. If it picks up a bobby pin, somethings wrong.

If you wanna mess with these guys for hours, buy a pack of cigarettes and pull out the foil interior. Put it in your underwear. You'll have them mystified for hours until they do a spot search with the little wand from hell.

Understood. And, unfortunately, it also goes the opposite direction... a few years ago, post-9/11, I was boarding a plane in Boston Logan with my briefcase, suit and tie, when they called me to the side for a security inspection. No problem. Now, my briefcase had a luggage tag on it that was a certain color... they were about to open my briefcase when one security person said, "No, no, we can't open his briefcase, it's tagged"

Imagine that. My briefcase had the 'magic color tag' on it, so they weren't going to search it! I pointed out to them that it was only a name tag. They searched it, fine - but when I got to my destination, I called the airline and complained.

Never assign to a conspiracy what can be blamed on incompetence and laziness!

There is huge political gain for France to lie about treating Bin Laden. There is even more political gain for France to lie about a CIA agent visiting Bin Laden while in the hospital.

Isn't it strange how France, a colonial, racist, and anti-semitic nation, seems to give safe harbor to so many people that want to destroy Israel? Why is it that France votes to condemn Israel in the United Nations oh so many times?

Why is it that Arafat ran to France to be treated? Why is it that, when Arafat died, even though Arafat's own personal biography lists his place of birth as Cairo Egypt, France choose to list his place of birth as Jerusalem - a deliberate lie that infuriated Israel and Jews worldwide?

France profits handsomely from Middle East tensions. Last year's U.N. investigation uncovered France's multi-billion dollar industry where they have been profiting for years by helping middle-eastern nations go around U.N. sanctions. Why do you think Reagan bombed France's embassy in Libya? It was just more than being ticked off at not letting our F-111's fly over French air space, let me tell you.

And, SEBasic, your baseless rhetoric doesn't change the fact that the propaganda film "Loose Change" is as dishonest as the French is.

No you have some real insight into why France stood by and let Germany waltz into Poland in 1939 without even blinking an eye. Look what it almost got them.

Just read this post by wwws, it's called "reviving a dead thread"
And I must say it is a very interesting concept.

Read it yourself and it could change your mind on what you think about retarded posts.

Actually he posted it as a new thread and I merged it.

And why are you attacking him calling his post retarded?

Did not see a "thread merged/moved" notation.

re·tard1 [IMG] ( P ) Pronunciation Key (r[IMG]-tärd[IMG])
v. re·tard·ed, re·tard·ing, re·tards
v. tr. To cause to move or proceed slowly; delay or impede.
v. intr. To be delayed.
n.
1. A slowing down or hindering of progress; a delay.
2. Music. A slackening of tempo.
Hmmm.. Don't see anything in that definition that could be construed as an "attack". Simply and observation. The post is retarded. In this case, "a slowing down or hindering of progress." It's old news. I cannot possibly think of a more appropriate word to have used.

Wow, thanks for clearing that up, pal. How anyone could misconstrue your usage of "retarded" as dumb or slow-witted, when you so obviously meant, uh, what was it again?

Where is G- "the truth is the truth" Tech when we need him?:D

Well, it could be me, but not knowing the difference between "stocker" and "stalker" could be retarded, as in "slowing the progress" of the English language.:D

I'm not certain what amuses me more. Watching you continually make an arse of yourself in a public forum, or the fact that I (and my posts) have become the center of your universe.

I am equally amused by the fact that you feel reinforcements are necessary to help ward off reason.
