Seen PR updated on a couple of datacenters today for a couple of new sites that I have been working on. You can check your site here http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/future-pagerank I also noticed that there has been a backlink updated as well.. I dont really care about the pr update except for the extra "COOP' weight it should bring. Thanks and have a great new year !!
I bet a friend of mine a hundred dollar bill that Google would update backlinks or pr for the new year..(Which betting on Google doesn't carry good odds).. Anyways...A couple of new sites that had PR0 were givin a very nice update..I only seen one of my sites drop in pr, and it was only from a 5 to a 4. Oh yea FRYMAN....I LMAO everytime I see your avatar. Thanks
Grr, it doesn't look good for us unfortunately if this is to stick - not that it really means anything to start off with. Actually, the Directory was showing the 'new' PR of 6 for us for quite a while already. It actually changed back and forth a few times on there, while the toolbar didn't move. I have a suspicion that the directory's PR values are the ones that are the most up to date.
I see the only PR Update on these data centers: But i don't see any back links update... May be soon...
Let's look at the lessons this PR update reminds us of: It takes a long time to calculate PR. Links gained in the last few weeks don't count in this PR update. If you stand still, your PR will drop. Heck, I had a site to which I was actively building links drop a point! PR isn't everything. My site which has raised the most in traffic didn't raise in PR. My site which raised in PR dropped in traffic.
No visual PR yet. I went up from 3 to 4 for my homepage and my PR6 dropped to PR5 on two datacenters.
Guys, guys! Don't get too excited. This is just the toolbar PR being updated. Although it's good to see the toolbar show a high PR for your site, this has got nothing to do with the real PR which was updated long ago. Proof: None of you would have seen major jumps in SERPs yesterday or today, did you?? But, when the "real PR" updates, you will see major movement in SERPs. Until then, keep working on those backlinks. Ciao!
PR may not matter to most, but those of us in the co-op ad network await the update simply because it raises the weight the co-op offers, thus giving higher rankings in the serps.
You're quite right, but a high toolbar PR does have some benefits. 1. It's easier to get links from other sites - people are more likely to trade with a high PR site. 2. There is a higher dollar value on higher PR pages. I was looking at a few search terms on those datacenters that updated, but didn't notice any changes. Has anyone seen any different rankings on those datacenters??
