Google bot visits my website atleast twice weekly but I am noticing a strange phenomenon. Say it visits my website on Sep 2 and indexes the homepage - the page in google's cache will say "last indexed on Sep 2" Now, if it visits again on Sep 6, there is high probability that it indexes my homepage as it was on Aug 30 - and even the google cache page would cache the older version of the page. Why is it so ? Do I need to make any changes in the meta tags ? Or is it just a Googlebot bug ? Amit.
