Looking to start my own blog on a new domain

    Ok so I have just purchased my new domain. I have been using blogs like wordpress and blogger. They are great, but I felt it was time to get my own blog started on my own domain.

    I'm just wondering what kind of software you guys are using and if you are paying for any of it?

    a blog I really really like is this one here:
    www[dot]mubinahmed[dot]com

    I was looking to see what software he used if any but I could not find a link anywhere. Well thank you all for the help.

    The blog you're talking about is using WordPress.
    You can download it here for free, this is the best blogging software currently available (imo)

    thanks for the info! am still a bit confused over the connecting the database with the wordpress, anyways wp is the best no doubt!

    also there is the latest verson available, should i go for that, or get the older versions, thanks:)

    Always go for the latest updates available as you will be up to date with the latest security fixtures. In adition, Wordpress is set to release version 2.2 on April 22!
