    Hi Guys
I am looking to start a cheap stumbling service after testing it.
I got 50K visitors from StumbleUpon in 15 days & it ate up 5 GB Bandwidth on my text-only website.

So, I would like to know , if I do start such a service, how much would you pay for say 100 - 200 stumbles ?

Say, if I charge around $0.15 per stumble(+ comment) , would it work ?

So 200 stumbles would cost just $30 .

    I used 200 a day for 15 days for my website .

So, I would love to have your views on it , any pricing changes or other features, you may want added to it .
Also, I would like to know if you think such a service can be successful.

    Thanks
    Ishan
P.S. - I can send you the proof of visitors if you still dont believe it.

StumbleUpon is a website which provides a Firefox toolbar which helps users rate a website (A thumbs up or a thumbs down) .

Also, when a user clicks on the Stumble button on their toolbar, they are sent to a random website. So, the more Thumbs Up a website has , th more it will be seen.

I have seen other sevice charge a dollar and people were willing to pay so .15 is very cheap. However, I don't think the number of stumbles is as important as the results people see from it. I don't know how you could impliment such a result based system but it would be attractive to customers I think.

Well, I used it on a simple wordpress blog, which had a default template & copied content (Worst possible scenario in my opinion) . You can check the stats in the my earlier post.

Well, I am saying that I used it on the worst website i could possibly have.
So tweaking the Stumble results is something I can do right :)

$.15 actually sounds a bit high to me. StumbleUpon isn't quality, targeted traffic that's likely to monetize well for the vast majority of niches. You'd be better off doing a low-bid adwords campaign or something. SU just isn't a quality marketing effort unless you only care about inflating numbers, and not actually being able to monetize your traffic or building readers / regular visitors.

Well, you see, in those 15 days I got 134K pageviews , which even on a $0.1 CPM gets you - $13.4 , eCPM will be more considering the clicks & stuff .

So, I am sure one can monetize on that traffic.

A low-bid adwords campaign will cost upwards of $0.05 per visitor , so this is much cheaper considering even 10% targetted traffic .

I did not promote my website in any other way, still I got 22% type-in traffic, which is quite high, which also means that people come back to the website.

But then nobody would vote for your site and you wouldn't get any more traffic.

I will surely PM you .
Well, I checked SU terms, there is no mention about such a thing, I mean paying people to stumble your website.

Read the terms carefully before launching a service like this:

You're essentially selling information associated with SU by selling stumbles. You'd better run it by someone there first before you profit from their name (could lead to legal issues later if they choose to pursue it). If anything you risk a trademark issue if you mention their name associated with your service, especially since they offer their own paid service to increase exposure. Also, how are you planning to offer so many stumbles, and not just visits, if you can only have one account? I'd also be careful, b/c you're setting it up specifically for promotion, which is also against the terms.
