Looking to sell linuxforchristians.com (maybe)

I was looking through some of my domains and noticed that linuxforchristians.com is valued by dnscoop.com for over $200,000 and it has a Google PR of 5.

I am wondering what you guys think. I would consider selling it for the right price, but I am not totally sure what is the right price.

The domain currently points to another one of my sites that I do not want to sell.

    See dnscoop.com info here:

    Thanks, jereme

I don't think it is worth the registration fee but good luck with it.

No reason to be like that. There is a market for both Linux and Christians. In fact I have been very successful with my UbuntuCE.com project which is a Christian Linux distro. In fact it has maintained a spot in the top 100 Linux distros on distrowatch.com since I released first released it 3 years ago.

I was just checking out some of my other domains that I have not really been doing anything with and noticed that the "valuation" on linuxforchristians.com was so high. It also has a PR 5.

So I figured I would see what it would actually bring in the market.

Not worth the value of dnscoop appraisal but with a PR 5 it can get some good value in the market. low $xxx to high $xxx.

I was just giving my opinion based on the domain name. You didn't mention the PR 5. I'm sure someone would pay more than reg fee for the PR alone. The domain name on its own just is not worth that much in my opinion.

I am sorry. I was a little bit touchy. I just took it the wrong way.

    Thanks, Jereme

Agreed... I'm just confused as to why christians need their own linux site... as if other linux sites are not good enough for them? I just see no relationship between the two and that's why it is only worth reg fee (without the PR of course).

Is the other site you have it pointing to it PR 5, then the page rank could be fake because of that. Unless people are actually linking to it then how could it get such a high page rank.

Well, I am not going to begin this debate here. This debate has been raging for a number of years. The fact is that there is a market for a Linux distro with Bible Software and parental controls. Whether you think it is needed or not is irrelevant.

Yes, it is. However, the linuxforchristians.com site used to be a blog for Christians interested in Linux. It had a number of backlinks and what not, but I decided to discontinue the blog. I have since set it up to point to UbuntuCE.com. Linuxforchristians.com had a PR 5 before the change.

    Thanks, Jereme
