I have recently developed a new poker staking website. It's for more advanced online poker players that are interested in backing (staking) poker players. The problem I'm having is that nobody is using the forums section. I stressed this point to registered poker players on my site. It's even the first direct link on my site. I have over 65 registered users, only 20 of them have signed up in the forums. Then ones that did sign up, are not using. I sent out an email to everyone stating that they will not get their name seen unless they start interacting with other players. It's been a week now, still no response! Can someone please help me to drive traffic directly to the forums. Thanks
You should hire and pay forum posters for the mean time who have the understanding about your chosen niche.
This might actually work, because then your players would have some topics to talk about and it would also drive some traffic from google, because youd have more content to get indexed. good luck
You must go to other forum which have a same niche and promote your site Coz it will bring relevant niche member to your site
Starting a forum is rough. You could start by hiring some paid posters and making your forum active. But ask yourself this - Can you really blame your current members for not wanting to particpate in a dead forum? Would you join a forum with no posts? The answer is probably no. You need to give them incentive. Get some discussions going and you should see some results. Even create a few fake accounts if you need to, and have them "chat" with each other on your boards.
May be you should give your visitors a possibility to write comments to your content without going to another page and without registerring. So that these comments will be posted directly to your forum...
