I run a gaming forum: http://www.gamerscomm.net/ with traffic ranging anywhere from 40k uniques to 60k uniques. All depending on how much content I post and share within the month. It does quite good and makes anywhere from 300-500$/month. I currently run the basic ad placements: Navbar, Footer, first post on thread. I am looking for some help on ad placement so I can increase revenue. Any help would be great! Thanks
I removed my footer ad and put up a second post ad like here on DP^^ but any other placement help would be great. Since I removed my footer ad, I now only have 1 ad on my home page because once you go into a thread I will have 4 ads running on a single page. Does Adsense automatically not display the 4th ad?
Hi, Adsense will only display 3 ads total. If you have 4 you'll be left with a blank space where the 4th would be. (At least that's how it is on my sites). I like your ad placement to be honest and can't really see how you could improve. I think $300-$500 for a forum is great. I'm not sure if you also do affiliate sales etc but with that much traffic it might be worth looking into other revenue streams. All the best.
I tried Amazon affiliate a bit but nothing at all really. You are allowed to post 3 banner like ads, 3 link types and 2 search ads. I switched up my ad placement just yesterday, I have 1 navbar, 1 square in thread and 1 link in between post(like here on DP), another banner ad as second post and 1 link type on the footer.
