A little while back we migrated our wordpress website over to joomla. Unfortunately it seems to be causing all kinds of problems. In particular we have 2 components that seem to be fighting each other....sh404SEF and SEO Boss. It seems to be randomly resetting pages to the default title tags. Looking into the redirect database there seems to be random bugs too. In short we are not happy with the current setup. To help prevent these problems we are considered switching to AceSEF or another similar system. Basically it needs to handle some URL rewriting for pages and help handle titles/meta tags. We are looking for someone to help advise on the best solution and potentially help us with the migration. It is extremely important that this transition is as smooth as possible. As we are already having problems with Google rankings due to this, we cannot risk any lingering bugs or any hiccups along the way. Ideally the system can be setup so that we no longer have to worry about random bugs popping up and things automatically changing on their own. So for this project you would need a very high knowledge level of Joomla and you should be quite familiar with sh404 and its alternatives. To help preserve all urls and redirects, it is very preferable that you are well versed with htaccess. It would be great if you also know at least a bit about SEO, although we can help advise on that end of things. The key is that minimal changes are made on the front end but the backend is all smoothed over.
