    Hi there,

I'm looking for a long term content writer to work with on various sites that I own. I have many electronics, travel and technology sites so you need to be able to write on these topics. The first project involves 50 x 400 word articles for which I will pay $4.50 each. I will pay half of the whole project up front and then full payment on completion.

I am not going to be fussy about where you are from. India, UK, US, Pakistan, Thailand - Everyone is welcome but you have to be able to write in fluent English.

I think the best way to do this is to do a test for which I will look through each one. The person with the best writing style will get the job. In order for me to be able to choose, I would like everyone that wants to apply to:

Write 1 x 150 article about a product of your choice from this selection:
The products are combi tv's - the reason I have chosen this product as the test is because not many people will know what it is thus people will have to write about things that they are not familiar with - exactly what you will have to do when writing for me.

Choose any product from this link:
    http://audiovisual.kelkoo.co.uk/c-100298023-combi-tvs.html

This is not a scam. I am only asking for you to provide 150 words on any product that you choose from the link above so that I can examine your writing style on a given topic.

Please PM me the product you have chosen and your 150 words of content in order to apply and then I will be in touch. Anyone that sends me a PM without a 150 word piece of content about a product will be ignored - I cannot work with people that cannot follow instructions.

Edit: I will post in this thread when the position has been filled so keep your entries coming until then - please no more posts asking "has this position been filled?"

Why can't you evaluate someone's writing by something they already have published? Why does it have to be a free 150 word hdtv review that you get to keep?

He wants to test how flexible the people are? He's offering half cash up front. He has the right to request any given topic. If people can't stick to the guidelines, then obviously they're a poor choice. What happens if he chooses someone based off of one of their non relevant articles - pays them, gives them the niche he needs them to write about - only to have them ask what the niche/item in question is? Waste of time.

In response to your question, I've got a valid answer: the reason I want people to write 150 words on my chosen topic is that I often find people showing me samples of stuff they haven't even written. For example, you could show me a sample of an article you wrote on "the universe", I could believe you, hire you and then find you can't even put a sentence together - this is my time wasted as well as yours. Therefore, I thought it would be best to ask for 150 words (which isn't a full article by far and should take a good writer a couple of minutes) and because its on a topic of my choosing, I can be reassured that it is your own writing and no one elses.
Futhermore, if you choose to write 150 words without even getting paid, it says a lot about your dedication - I don't want to be working with someone that rushes through the work I pass him/her and is just looking to get onto the next job.

I hope this answers your question. If not, I'm happy to explain further..

    Hi there,

Yes the winner has been announced and we have made an agreement to release his title once he has finished his first project with me.

    He's about half way through.

    @Miniclipz
I did reply to your PM stating, although you were late I'll give you 20 minutes. You took over and hour and although sample was of a very high quality and probably a close winner - I had already picked/informed a winner just after the 20 minute period.

I've got a huge amount of work (that only one person cannot do) and will be picking people from the ones that applied.
