Hey folks! I'm looking to enhance the monetization of my blog and wouldn't mind a few suggestions. First, the link! Investing Adventures I've been playing around with different monetization programs and am currently using the following: Google Adsense Commission Junction Payperpost / SponsoredReviews Adsense brings in about $15 / month. CJ has yet to convert. PPP/SR vary from $10-70 per month. In short, passive income is roughly $15 / month from Adsense. Roughly 20% of traffic is direct plus another 20% Google organic. I've modified some of the simpler meta tags such as the title, description, and keywords to conform to the information on the site a bit better. I've also recently changed the blog template to what you're seeing here. Digital Point Readers, pimp my blog! (Always wanted to say that).
CJ is taking a good piece of premium advertisement space, so if it's not converting, I would try to substitute it by a Google Adsense square or something. Also, the ad just before the content is from "http://www.qksz.net". Check the revenue from it. It is important that you prioritze what works, and remove what doesn't. Have you tried to use an Adsense "Link Unit" on the top, like if they were navigation links? Since your topic is finance related, it is possible that the revenue from it could be good. Also, about the Adsense sidebar, you could try to blend the colors with the ones of your site. The best advice I can give you is that you try, try and try again. You might loose a bit of income while testing different things, but in the end you'll learn what works and what doesn't.
The qksz is CJ's way of encrypting the link. Threw me off at first as well. In any event, the CJ banner isn't working so you're right. It's gotten about 15,000 impressions with 9 clicks. I've switched the main page banner to a link unit. Normally, my adsense clicks run about $1 which isn't bad I think. I believe you're right. These finance folks may just have a ton of cash to toss into advertising. I've been meaning to blend that sidebar into the color scheme. Funny enough, the sidebar gets quite a few clicks. I could only imagine how many more if it was blended in. Thanks.
