If you're on Windows, use Windows Movie Maker, it is powerful and free. If you are on Mac, you could use iMovie.

I'd like to recommend AVS Video Editor to you, I always use it to edit video and make funny video for uploading to Youtube, it's easy to use and the quality is awesome, you can crop, cut, join, edit video with it easily. It also embeds many special effects, you can even add text to video or add background music, that's pretty cool. It worth a try

Hope it helps. Contact me if you have any other question

Once you have a video created, ensure you use the correct format when you add the video to your website. Most video maker outputs video in WMV, AVI or MOV format, which are great for viewing on your desktop, but will load very slowly on your website, and your web visitors won't be able to view them. You can either consider upload your video to video sharing sites such as Youtube (so your video hosted on their site), or use a flash video player software (such as A4Desk Video) to convert your video into FLV (flash video) format, and then embed to your website using a video player skin.
