I need some help making this decision. I don't have time to spend hours and hours developing a websites, and I am also not looking to get super rich by doing this. I would like to have a website that builds a small income with little effort, say $5-10/week. I don't want to deal with buying-selling stuff, I would like a website rich in articles that can bring in advertisement revenue. I have never bought a website before, so I need help getting started. I would like to invest less than $100 into this at first. Does this sound reasonable at all? How much would you put in it? I have been looking at Flippa.com, but would like to get some of your opinions before I decide to go forward.
It is difficult to predict the revenue of a website , especially if it depends on search engines for traffic.
$100 is reasonable. but sites with good page rank in google might cost more than that. you will need to do more marketing to drive trafffic. your website should base on popular niche so the earning per click is higher. i suggest you put amazon, clickbank and other affliate site to have multiple streams of income and it runs automatically.
you will never be able to buy a site with ACTUAL passive income for $100 at first. You will be able to buy sites that claim it exists, but you will find the "passive" income is hard work.
This is not reasonable at all. For $100 count yourself lucky to get a site that gets $10/month in passive revenue rather than $5-$10/week. Also articles will be worth more and you will still need to do some work, because if it was that easy than you could buy all the sites in the world and never have to work again because after around a year you'll start making money again. For a site that is currently generating ~$10/week the site will cost ~$500, and you will need to post a new article around every week.
You can probably try sedo also, im not sure if you can get a website for $100 that brings in 5-10 per week tho.
