Looking to buy a LAPTOP.

I was thinking about buying a macbook, but I'm not sure if that's such a good idea for a website owner and developer. I'm not sure if I can set up a wamp server there etc.

    Any suggestions?

You can use MAMP PRO, it's the best local server and more powerful than MAMP or XAMMP

Do you think a 17 inch would be too big for traveling?

It depends on how you're travelling, where you're going, and what else you're taking.

I've been using a netbook for a few months now, and I'll never go back to carrying a full size laptop.

For me, it is too big. Better opt for a smaller screen.

I think 17 inch is too big for travelling better use 13 or 15 inch.

If you need bigger space for your works, you can add any brand monitor to the macbook using mini-DVI to DVI cable

I never knew they had MAMP lol. I always thought the 3 were LAMP WAMP AND XAMP. Learned something today, thanks =)

Mac's are for style foremost. At least most people that buy mac's have that in mind. But they are very good still since they are built off of *NIX. Apple also offers a bunch of software that is very useful. If you do go ahead with purchasing a mac, you might want to search for 'macheist' its a site and a way to get free apple software, or at least huge discounts on them.

HP is the perfect machine for you and your business. I've one and I'm glad I made the right choice.
