Hi I am just looking for good resources to help me build great looking websites. I want to learn the coding. I know basic html but I want to learn it more in depth along with php etc.. Is there any good resources free or good paid ones?
unless you're going for a Micro$oft environment, most good resources are free: php.net for php documentation (use the searchbar in the top of the page to search for php functions, then work from there).. adodb(->google) for database abstraction (dont even think about not using db abstraction if ur serious) gimp & tutorials 4 it, to sprouce up your photoshopping-without-the-cost-skills jQuery.com to make your javascript life easier ajaxrain.com for loads of interface goodies
Use http://www.w3schools.com/default.asp Check out XHTML, CSS, and PHP. Download various templates/scripts you like the look of, mess around with them (you learn so much by doing that) Sorted!
That is a great resource. If you want to learn WordPress, I'm accepting 10 people to go through my website building course for free in exchange for testimonials. Apply here.
lynda.com is an excellent paid subscription-based resource for learning a wide range of programming and graphic design skills. All the tutorials are video-based and hands-on, so you end up saving a lot of time. Also, lynda.com is Adobe Certified. It might be worthwhile checking them out. - Vaddi
