Looking to build my own directory...

I've always been interested in owning my own directory so I just started one. Anyone interested in adding their link(s) is certainly welcome. No charge. It's actually a pretty decent system. I'm looking for category editors and any advice you ladies and gentlemen may have...

Looks impressive. Only one suggestion, In my opinion the slogan would look better beneath the logo.

Sal, added the site in the attachment, if you need an editor in that catagory I will help out

One of the best looking directory sites I have seen.

Going to add you to the directory page of www.searchenginesinternational.com also.

Thank you, GTech. I appreciate the kind words... Nullbit, it's not set in stone.. I may just go ahead and do that.. Anthonycea, I'll definitely keep that in mind.. I'm going to just, for now, start a list of interested people - and then add a bunch of people in at once...

Hey. Does anyone have any ideas in regards to marketing a directory like this? I'll add the URL to my signatures on forums (I do quite a bit of foruming) but what other advice do you have for a directory in it's infancy?

    Thank you in advance...

Hey, I missed those lasts sentences. Thank you very much! If you have the time, go ahead and apply as an editor.. Once I get a few entries, I'll figure out how to accept people and whatnot.. I'll probably be asking for advice, at some point in the near future, in regards to choosing editors...

Quality of the listings will make you or break you, not promotion in the end.

You will do fine unless the directory is filled with crap sites

Forums are a start but you can always buy ADWORDS also and banners on forums might be a great idea.

Digital Point co-op is another great tool to get it going.

Looks pretty good, I've added one of my sites and I'll add some more later. Being on searchenginesinternational is good as well, with my directory (soon to go though, directories are very hard to keep up) I get between 500-1000 unique visitors a month from there. :)

Explain the difference to us as to what that means and what the benefit of making it static or the disadvantage of non-static.

Searchen Networks is owned by my Brother - Clasione.. I noticed that when you were in the directory before I made the changes, and hovered over the links, you'd get something like this:

    http://www.infopeek.net/cgi-bin/count.cgi?id=684&id=684

Now, you get the actual URL of where you're about to be taken.. Isn't that referred to as a "jump link" up above? I'm understanding it's better to not have it work that way...
