Hi all, alongside with a designer and my other programmer friend, we're going to develop a new free and trendy domain market place website that will allow internet users to post up their domain names for sale. Each domain name that are posted will have a page of its own with a commentary system for users to post comments (and rate the domain name). On these pages, any visitor may share the link with their friends through hotmail, facebook or twitter. We'll also have a system similar to itrader because we do not want to be involved with any monetary issues. For transactions, the user themselves can discuss it among themselves so they can pay through paypal, escrow or through sedo as well as we're not competing directly with any existing domain marketplace sites. Having another domain market place (and hopefully it'll be a big thing with heavy marketing), we can be another popular site to increase seller's chance of selling their domain names especially during this financial crisis. Best of all to increase chance of selling domains, we'll emphasize and feature one random active domain name on our index page whenever a user visit, with a list of other featured domain names with less emphasis after it. I'm sure there are alot of domain sellers/buyers out here in DP, I would like to find out opinions from my target market. If anyone has any idea or suggestion to improve on my concept, please do share with me ok! My team is very open with ideas as we're still in the conceptual phase. Very soon I'll also have a mailing list up first before the public beta release of the site so we'll have a fair share of member base by the time we're open to public. I'll not disclose the domain name chosen for this project just so you all know I'm not advertising my upcoming site, just need opinions from the public.
