Looking to advertise on a popular website

I hope my topic won't get deleted since every innocent topic seems to get moderated. Am I allowed to ask if anyone knows of any high traffic sites that I could advertise on? I am not talking about a high PR page that no one visits or a link buried on a page that receives no clicks. PPC seems to be manipulated by fraudsters. I know a site where I got lucky and paid for a sitewide link and I receive real people to my site who purchase my services. I am looking for another site where I could pay for an ad spot that is visible and can send me potential customers and not just a bunch of unemployed teenagers. Please let me know of such sites even if they are yours. Feel free to send me a pm in case the mods get trigger happy.

There are lots of high traffic websites where you can advertise. But what's your targeted audience, your topic?

Simple contact the resident webmaster / owner and negotiate directly whit him the price of all page ad spot . You'd be amazed to see the power of a phone call . Also you might want to reconsider PPC . Whit active & intense monitoring it will work . You just need to root out all the bad websites (quite a boatload of them unfortunately) .

If you have one site that is already bringing you traffic, why not check to see who is linking to that site.

Sorry for the late reply guys I had trouble logging in and just remembered this topic a few days later. The target audience is those looking to pay for quality SEO/advertising. Google Adwords is a scam since I created my own traffic logger and noticed multiple clicks from the same IP when using Adwords that was draining my money. Plus when I looked on my site I would get about 20 visits from Google and when I login my Adwords account it reports about 100 visits.

I want to correct you David there aren't that much fraudsters as think. I don't know about others but adwords is definitely good in dealing with fraudsters. The only thing is if you don't know how to work with it then you can loose all your money in no time.

As far as advertisement on websites is concerned there are lot of banner advertisement networks but don't expect this to be cheap.
