Looking partner for new search engine.

There are so many ***tube.com you can search in google,looks like teachertube.com
schooltube.com and godtube.com
OK,I have the domain name allthetube.com (looks like alltheweb.com )and I think it can be a great search engine.
I need someone partner with me,I'm only a student now,Hope I can find the partner.

All you have is a domain, correct? So, are you looking for financing and programming?

 

I say honestly, it's not so easy to make search engine. There've lots many things require behind this project. You can't go ahead only with a domain. I'd a search engine named borolook.com which is now stopped. I faced all the problems that a search engine owner normally faced. You can find lots may search engine are there. even a non-programmer also running search engine BUT all those are whether affiliated from google as a free or premium members.

First of all you must have own database (MSSql). MySql are not so fast to retrieve data on query base. If you want to display result first from your server / database, you must need to use MSSql and which is very costly. Anyhow, after Database solution, the next will be crawler. You must have your own crawler to crawl data from other websites. This is very difficult. We'd use own crawler for my expired website borolook.com. You can get lots of free crawler on the web which can index only Meta Tag, Title and Meta Keyword. This is not enough and you can't go ahead only with these few information of the website. If you just want to become famous in search engine, your crawler must have the ability to crawl whole body contents with Neat and Clean. You may think why I've bold the words Neat and Clean. This is not just bold text. I've found some search engine which can't index source code less data and some other index meaning less content from the website which the websites have already lots of well data. the homepage of tulip.net have lots of contents which is enough for bot to pickup good contents. But they just got the few anchor text

This are just few examples regarding crawler. If you really want to make search engine, just get ready for the problems like atom bomb.

Very good points - I did not know you owned borolook.com, I liked that engine. Just our of curiosity do you still own the domain and if so would you be interested in selling it?

I think the role would be Financing & Programming. And the job of OP would be counting money, lol.

 

Trust me you do not want to go through the hustle of making your own search Engine it is just not worth it with such HUGE competitors as Google / Yahoo/Bing ... You can't even get 0.1% of the Search Engine Traffic Share without a few years of labour...

I think that there may be a work of money protection.

 

You probably want to do your own crawling and indexing for yourself, not simply aggregate results from other search engines, otherwise you are not providing anything unique at your search engine. To do your own scoring of search results is where you can outshine the big guys as long as you pick a niche that you can handle.

Indexing the content of adult tube sites is going to be a lot of work, and when users follow the first result they might not be back for a while....

 

What is your partner's task and what can you do to improve the site?
