Hi Guys, I am on the hunt for a wordpress theme - It will be for video games and blu-ray's distribution. I have been looking for ages but no joy! I have found a site I really like here Would appreciate the help. Thanks Hugo
Sorry but I didn't understand what kind of help you want. If you want to know the theme of that site then according to me its not a WordPress based site.
Try Headway. It's totally customizable. Drag and drop so it's easy to use and you can customize colors, fonts, even columns and content sections. Best premium theme available. Perfect for affiliates.
I think you should hire someone to emulate that site you like using Wordpress. The process can be time consuming, depending on the effects you're after, but it is fairly straight forward.
Basically I am a wholesaler/distributor so I would like a theme which would suit my company. Sorry if I was not clear enough!
Hugo, Nobody would know your company and your preferences like you, so it is up to you to go shopping for your theme. You have two choices, an off-the-shelf theme or one that is custom built. The example site you linked to is not Wordpress, but you can probably find something close to that, as the site is simple and not very functional. A Wordpress theme that is two columns, with a header area for a banner, a single right side bar, and no footer, would match your example, but you would have to live with cleaner lines and well-formed navigation buttons. As a company, I would think you want a professional theme that comes with a manual and knowledgable support, and not something thrown together that is free and no ongoing support. For a new site, the two places I visit to find a new theme are http://www.studiopress.com/showcase/ and http://showcase.woothemes.com/ Both of these companies have great support. There are others you can find on Google, but normally any theme is a compromise to some extent. As a businessperson, I'm sure you're used to that :~) Using a commercial theme company like those above certainly beats paying four figures for a custom commercial theme, and then having to pay for support over the years when the custom theme does not adapt properly to plugin or version upgrades.
