    I know the thread is quite old (2013) ---I think the op is looking for the exact same thing I'm looking for --- a full wordpress movie database to add to an existing one. Does anyone have a movie site and willing to share the database? It doesn't matter if the content is not unique :)

    Is that compatible with wordpress?

    It might be easier but I need the video embeds as well (variations) ... like putlocker.is and other movie sites do. So that has to be done manually I guess.

    The IMBD API confuses me hwo do you use that api, do you have a tutorial?

    No, sorry, I haven't, I haven't used it for ages, and back when I did, I didn't use it with Wordpress - but I'm pretty sure there must exist plugins to retrieve IMDB info already. Have you searched the plugin-directory within Wordpress? No hits?

    I found one that basically important the meta information and a featured poster into the post but that is all.

    Another one needs a small piece of code inserted into each post and the movie ID..

    I am basically looking for a full wordpress database with movie embeds, meta dat etc ready made one, maybe someone that has built it from scratch and is willing to share it with us.

    You realise that such a database will be quite huge, yes? I really doubt that you'll find something like that floating around the web, I'm sorry to say.
