Looking For Web Host - I Noticed "Hosting" was for sellers

I went to the wrong one I believe and hope this is the right forum. I am totally done with Bluehost because all my Frontpage -based URLs have been down for I don't know how long (unbeknownst to me) and I asked them for a refund on my last 12 months. I have 6 URLs I hosted there which were all FrontPage2002 built....so seek a Windows server and all these different sites are extremely simple 30 or 50 pages at the most for some, not even. No actual dot com email accounts exist with any. Please email me directly at my contact form or email address at my business site in signature below with what your annual cost would be, to host 7 URLs. I could email the sites but as of now, they direct to a 403 server error. Bluehost chat was very little in the help department...my pleas to the tech support have gone unanswered (since my first one about 48 hrs. ago) although I have heard from Sydrth at their "billing" dept. My frustration has lead me to seek out someone reliable who I can publish these sites to and I would prefer publishing them directly to their respective URLs within Frontpage as opposed to FTP, which I loathe. Any info / feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi dinrock,
I'm using Siteground atm, and I like so much the service and the support offered to my blog. They have many hosting plans, for my needs I choose shared hosting named GrowBig especially designed for Wordpress optimization and speed loading. But you can also start with StartUp plan, which is always a great deal. If you need to export your actual blog the Siteground's staff can do this for a few bucks.

Take a look on their plan:

Good knowing this Carlo....unfortunately my several sites are not Wordpress platform but Frontpage2002-based sites. I will keep a look out! What is your blog about btw? Do you have a blogroll?

You have done a great job with Cartoon Pictures, can't you do also with other Frontpages sites based? ;)

    Hello there,

Frontpage was end of life I think back in 2006. You will not find many hosts that offer this option because of the security concerns. You should really look at updating your sites. If you cannot, one suggestion is to get a small VPS and install the Frontpage extensions.

    Regards,
    Chris

Much appreciated Carlo. Chris: This is why I moved the site (in my signature) to a Wordpress-based platform....it was initally a Frontpage based site and the new impending HTML5 hierarchy had begun along with all the Penguin/Panda spankings. These several sites I now have are not huge sites....one is a humor site with relatively few pages, another is a small site about marketing with a few pages about promotion etc. I simply need a host that still has a Windows server....and as mentioned, no shopping carts are on these sites, nor do any of them have any kind of dot com assigned email addresses, so am not certain where to head with these. As for a VPS, not certain as to what that is and I always assumed FP extensions had to do with the "hosting" end of the equation, not the site builder. I may be missing something?

    Hi,
Nowadays, FrontPage extensions are much likely removed from the most shared hosting provider services. However, if you get VPS, you can still request FP to be installed on Apache or with cPanel on it, and it's not necessary to have it on Windows platform (as that might cost higher price).
We recently have signed up with Euro-Space.net VPS and would definitely recommend their services , as they helped us with all 3-rd party software installations.

This is reat to know dbuilderman. Much appreciated. Here is at least one other site I own which is on a basic shared Windows-based shared IP: http://www.medievalfile.com and here is another on the same server: http://www.ehumor-jokes.com and I do have 4 or 5 more on this same one but won't bore you to death. Just letting you know I appreciated this input. Too bad FP has fizzled out....I once felt it was an excellent web editing tool, but then that was over 10 years ago! Times have changed. Keep up your good work....

    No, no it isn't...

NO, no it wasn't -- it ALWAYS sleazed out inaccessible buggy broken websites, and the sooner it went away the better; That said we all start somewhere; I myself started out with the train wreck of crap known as Nyetscape Composer some sixteen years ago.

Though going to turdpress is kind-of a step sideways, what with the HTML 5 bloat, IE CC's for nothing, endless pointless scripting for nothing, and "I can haz intarnets" markup with endless pointless scripting for nothing and gibberish numbered heading orders... Since as I've several times if you don't know what's wrong with code like this:
    <li id="menu-item-13705" class="menu-item menu-item-type-post_type menu-item-object-page menu-item-13705">
    Code (markup):
You probably shouldn't be building websites. Hence the 74k of markup for 4k of plaintext and dozen and a half content images -- anywhere from 4 to 8 times as much code as necessary.

deathshadow....what is your preferred web editor these days? I decided Tur (I mean!....) Wordpress simply from it being condisive as a CMS platform....and I specialize in what else?....CONTENT (i.e. cartoons!) as for your code you pasted in...it's of course, too long. Which is why I'm curious as to your preferred editor

I suggest dreamhost as they have been the best for all my clients websites and my personal ones. If you would like to use my affiliate link I would be most appreciative :)
