We are looking for an additional web designer to work with the dotServing team. Please note, we are not looking for new people trying to learn web design, we are looking for established designers who have experience designing sites. Most be dedicated & committed. Most be familiar with designing sites in CSS/HTML/PHP using proper standards. Macromedia Flash would be an asset. We are NOT interested in someone who will finish their work when ever they want, we are a professional firm looking for professional people to work with. Please note the details: If you are interested in applying for this position please email with ALL of the following: A list of websites you have built using CSS/HTML (feel free to add some, not all, flash sites too), as well as the amount you charged for each design. The $$ amount you would like to be paid for each design you design for us. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT INCLUDE ALL THE INFORMATION, YOUR EMAIL WILL IMMEDIATELY BE DELETED. WE HAVE NO INTEREST IN HIRING SOMEONE WHO CAN NOT FOLLOW SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS. NO PHONE CALLS PLEASE! JUST EMAIL! While some may find this harsh, its how we role. We have no interest in hand holding anyone. Only those considered will be contacted to discuss further possibilities. If you are not contacted, I am sorry to say but you were not the best candidate. We do not email people explaining why they were not picked.
Firstly this thread has been posted in the wrong section of the forums HTML & Website Design = "Place to talk about website design and get help with HTML, CSS, DHTML, etc." This thread belongs to Buy, Sell or Trade section of the forums *Moderator please move this thread* Secondly, you seem to have high expectations from your "possible" future employee, you should also be prepared to pay top $$$ to the person you hire. Your looking for a professional but the reall question is are you a professional yourself? From what I see from your domain registration, your hosting/web service company has only been around for a mere 1 year. Don't be offended by the things i'm writing here on this point, i'm just pointing out a few things that you might not be aware of. Every single Designer / Coder on this forum is at their own levels of expertise with their own prices. So there's no point in stating that people who are learning webdesign shouldn't apply, I myself have been working with CSS coding for over 2 years, but i see myself as a continous learner and right now i'm specialising in templates coded with w3c standards with XHTML Strict validation without using tables. Finally to wrap things up, I would suggest for you to be slightly more careful on what you say and if YOU'RE interested in my services, then you can PM your offer on how mcuh you would pay for the slicing and coding of a single page and if I find your prices suitable I may respond to your PM. Cheers. Vahsi000
Thanks for the comments. Yes we are looking to get help with HTML and CSS. The whole idea here is to help us keep up with the demand of our services, thus requiring additional HTML/CSS help. Let me straighten out a couple points you made wrong but I'll assume that is based on lack of actual research. Clarifying statement: We are a lot older then one year (more about that later). Firstly, and most importantly: Just because a business is 1 year old, does not mean that the company is not professional. How much startups are you familiar with that had a goal not to be professional? Professional & Age are not related. I know many companies and we have many clients whose business is less then a year old and they are professional. Some examples. Coke. Their domain was registered in 1997, but we all know Coke is much more then 10 years old. Microsoft. They released Microsoft Office in 1989 but their domain was registered in 1991. Nike. Founded in 1972, domain registered in 1995. I know I've been wearing Nike clothes before 1995. Barovier & Toso. Founded in 1295 (Yes, thats 1295), website was created in 1997. I hate to do a search on usa.gov but I know the USA is more then 100 years old History, ahhh I love to brag about our history, so I certainly don't mind answering your question To avoid making this mistake (of age) in the future, you should always visit the company's in question about us page. For instance, on our about us page we list our press releases. The first (and only) press release mentions we were formerly named Chronichosting and had changed on name earlier this year to dotServing. A simple visit to www.chronichosting.com will prove this fact. Now, you'll ask, well how old is Chronichosting. So using your previous theory you would visit the whois of Chronichosting (whois.sc/chronichosting.com) and see that the domain name has been around a lot longer then a year. So, how old are we? Four years, and we are currently in our 5th business year. Yes we've been around the block a couple times. Now, I know you were probably posting that to try and help others, but when you post incorrect information, it doesn't help.
From reading both posts and the attitude I would say They seems like some one we would all like to work for!
