Hello, I own the following forums: http://www.szf.co.il/ These forums are written in Hebrew and are for Hebrew visitors only. I would like to hear ideas on how I can promote my website so to get much higher traffic and beat my competitors. Any idea will be appreciated. Thank you!
The site is in Hebrew, should I submit it to directories in Hebrew? English directories is a good thing for me? I remember I tried to submit my site to DMOZ but they didn't accept my site.
the forum administrator needs to be active and visible in the community. people need to feel they have a way to address any problems they might have or any disagreements that spring up between members. when activity slows down, and there will be slow periods, it’s the administrator’s job to stir up discussion and activity.
It depends what your forum is about. But yes, find where your visitors hang out online mostly, and that's where you should advertize to get more of the same crowd. Also consider running contests which involve your users to spread the word about your forum on social medias as part of the tasks to participate in your contest.
there are some ways you can try. social media, like facebook, twitter etc. and you can find some forums that Hebrew like to promote your blog.
I would try and get your site a little bit faster also, i'm not sure if it's just me or not but it wasn't very fast when I went to the website. Users usually wont use a slow website .
try joining to the forum you are competing. And gradually promote it there. like they said, keep close to your enemy
