I've started an SEO site geared towards those just getting started in SEO. You can see it at www.seo-information.info. I haven't really done much other than add content to it. There's a lot of confusing information out there about SEO, and a beginner is practically overwhelmed by the task at hand, even though once someone figures it out, they wonder what the big deal was. I'd like articles written by those with SEO knowledge, and geared towards the beginner or semi-novice SEOer. I'm not allowing outbound links in the articles, but you can have up to 3 links in the About The Author box at the end of each article. I'm also not putting a limit on the number of articles that can be submitted by any one person, but I am approving the articles before I post them. Here is an important question to test your SEO knowledge. If you're not allowing outbound links....... Where will the three links go in the About the Author box? To Administrative Hold? Limbo? I'll leave the topic of why you want somebody else to make you look like an SEO to others.
The idea is to keep people from spamming the article section. The About The Author box can have 3 links pointing to wherever the author desires, with whatever anchor text they want. I'm simply trying to weed out the people who want to write some crappy article, peppering it with odd links that make no sense. I want REAL contributions that help SEO newbies LEARN something. The idea of people contributing articles isn't to help their own SEO practices (although the three links help with that), but to give back to the SEO community, which is full of sharks who don't give a sh!t about anyone but themselves.
