    Hello all.

I'm going to be working on a number of job and career related websites, some are "job boards" while others are more job and career "advice" and article related.

I have a few ideas on how to build links to the websites, such as article submissions and using social bookmarking tools, but I think I need some more ideas?

The market is pretty competitive and I need some really good methods!

Any ideas will be appreciated! :)

I am actually trying to start a career buliding site too, but the field is really competitive.

Maybe you can start one for your country ? It will definitely narrow down the competition.

http://www.careerramblings.com/ is one that you can get some ideas from. The growth of the site has been pretty amazing.

Find a Job is my site in this niche.

I haven't spent a lot of time and effort on it, but I intend to in the future.

PM me for link trades. :)

    Thanks guys
I've submitted to a few more directories and will begin working on article submissions and then using social bookmarking.

Will Spencer > A link exchange sounds interesting, what are you offering?

Write 'linkbait', blog content that naturally atracts links due to the topic/way it was written.

    Hi,

I have my own jobs carrer portal trabajos Ecuador You will have competition in all nich markets, mine is Ecuador - South América, In search results I appear in the second page. But with soo many unemployed people in Ecuador (8%) I have 1580 registers since 20 of May 2007 and 160-300 visits per day.

    Find a nich market
linkbating (writte something controversial, unique, etc) and post it in technorati, digg, etc.
Comment on blog posts related to work, carreer, etc
Offer free exchange of backlinks in your new articles.
Get listed in 40-80 good directories

PM, maybe we can help each other

Just the usual. I'll link to you if you'll link to me. :)

I don't like links from links pages. I like to give, and receive, links on content pages.

That's true that Job Boards are having too much competition. Its really hard to compete with guys like careerbuilder, nationjobs and dice. But its good if you can just target the industry niche. Like my site: Marketing Jobs
