I am looking for the best or top link exchange directories that are known and proven to work. any ideas? Thanks
im using startxchange.com. One of the best and easiet ways to make traffic. Rate is 1:3, but im cheating there and generating more that 1K credits a day
I will have to keep that in mind when coding my own link exchange. that is a surf type of exchange, I will not be using surf features.
I cannot correct you. Simply, if two sites are irrelevant, than yest, it is pointless. If two sites are relevant, then yes, there is a value of exchange but I read on one thread that link exchange is not really effective as you get one link as well as you lose another link (by linking to another website).
I seem to hear two versions from this. some say yes, some say no, this only means people do not really know, you can prove me wrong, but posting a link from google that says otherwise, and if they do not work, then why are they used in the masses every day? If it did not work, why use them? people use them... some people even spam, and when they get busted, banned, then they go out preaching against everything... links in link exchanges do get indexed, maybe not every single one of them, but indexing does take place, now what the value of the link is another story... I signed up with a links service 2 weeks ago, now I have 3 pages of rankings of those links...you tell me? If it link exchanges did not work, then I would have nothing, and over time, it will build from there. So, now I am coding my own link exchange to be even better. and for those that say link exchanges are total bull, then you need to ask why? Did you do something to get banned? Did the link exchange site do something to get banned, and you got hit too? How about the true quality of the link exchange service? If you have a poor quality link exchange service, then I imagine it will be poor links. There are several factors related to "link exchanges do not work" know your facts before you just start babbling...for all we know, you were spamming your domain all over the world and back...and it is not always link exchanges that are bad, people are offten even worse causing them to at worst, fail....
Absolutely true. It's not so easy to get one-way links. Nobody wants to give you a link for nothing in return. The only way out - to buy them. What for one-way links from site or article directories - they are less useful because the pages where your site or article is listed can be out of Google index for a long time.
a link exchange can be useful for a number of reasons...even for getting potential one way links as a result of exchanging links...the problem with links is - TIME!
startxchange is not a link exchange, it's a traffic exchange, which is very different. I have some links in link-vault but so far it's not impressive. no traffic OK but the links are not getting indexed on 12 weeks or more so it's a no-go over there for me. I notice that DP used to ahve a Co-op exchange but apparently it's dying a slow death. I, too, am interested in a quality link exchange service. Not so much in traffic exchanges, I'd rather just use PTC.
I am working on quality. some sites do not really care about quality. I could not say why they are not getting indexed, as it could be a number of reasons, and not any one reason. The link exchange I am working on will include banner/link advertising, which would be advertised on all members pages, which could be into the 1000's - if not more. You would basicly subscribe to a banner/text subscription, setup your url/info, and your ad campaign will be underway. I will be paying a lot of attention to quality detail and seo detail of the entire system, and other features could be added after the fact. I will also be offering one way links where you would not have to participate in exchanging links if you did not want too. will also be setting up affiliate program so you could earn residual on monthly subscriptions, and paid for unique click-thru's.... This is why I ask for help on what you guys want to see in a link exchange, I have posted a link below, if it will be benefit to everyone, then chances are it can be added.
You are right links from different domains with the same IP are treated by Google as links from one and the same web site. That is why - check web sites' IPs carefully.
There are lots of directories out, and you can submit your site to them through a site submission service or by yourself. If you're looking for a way to collect relevant links 24/7 while your sleep, then consider joining my site. You won't find a better script to make a customized link directory for your website, and you don't have to do any work to get links up on your directory pages. It's free too.
