I have looked around for a considerable long time when searching for a suitable escorts directory script. I decided not to buy a custom made script. Not only because they are often overpriced. But especially because - no matter how professional made and fancy designed they might often be - they always lack a certain degree of flexibility. I wanted to keep the flexibility and openess that is offered by the open CMS of Joomla and its many free extensions. This especially with regard to advertising options and when it comes to make your website profitable. Like:

- I want to publish rotating banners for affiliated parties;
- I want to offer featured escort profiles located exactly on the pages and page positions I prefer;
- I want to decide on which data fields should be shown in escort profiles;
- I want to be able to publish editorial content in a easy to use text editor with light coding and good SEO features.

There are no many escort directory script choices on the market, but...

You should take any Joomla listing component and make some hacks to
transform it to an escort directory component, it is much more effective
and nice.

As far as I know the popular paris escort directory (69papillon) is Joomla
based so it is great and multifunctional.

I am sorry to disagree with you Warden but I have to say no existing Joomla listings component listed on JED can do the job without some serious rewrites, so much so that I decided to develop a purpose built escort directory component for Joomla which is now retired but was immensely popular for a few years. Whilst K2, Sobi2 and similar Joomla components appear to be able to do the job initially anyone with even a little experience in running an escort directory will quickly become aware of some serious limitations, simply because escort advertising has pretty unique and specific requirements and, I discovered the source of limitations is rooted in Joomla core rather than these excellent components...
On the other hand even if, after some serious hacking you made a workable escort directory component from one of Joomla listings component you have to wonder if the time spent is worth it considering that you can buy a working, purpose built escort directory script for under $1500 complete with escort template, quick launch installation package and ready to go out of the box.

I am sorry to disappoint you but despite popular opinion dating scripts don't really work for escort directories.
If you need a dating/matchmaking website you get a dating script, for escort website you get an escort script. Use what was built for your website purpose or you're up for disappointment.
