    Greetings all,

My previous attempts at finding interesting writers did not yet yield any results. Seems like a lot of people jump on the opportunity, just to disappear and stop communication later on if their focus shifted. So I am telling right now that I am looking for some reliable as this gig is a long-term one.

I am looking for an interesting technology blog news writer/copywriter specifically on the subject of web hosting.

The task will comprise of scouting traditional daily news sources, press releases, then picking a couple that seem most interesting/important/news-fitting and writing small briefs. A brief is highly congested summary of the main news release. In other words, just "get-to-the-point" news. Each such news brief has to stay between 50-75 words on average. Examples will be shown.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    - A writer will require an ability to quickly grasp the main concept/news factor, re-write it in a presentable news fitting format.
    - A writer has to live in North America (Canada/U.S.) to be in the same time zone.
    - Write-up 1 brief per day (Morning or Afternoon/Evening), 6 days a week (Mon-Sat). Number of these briefs might be increased (depends on quality of your work).
    - A writer will be published under his real name.
    - Everything is tracked. A writer will be paid out when his balance reaches $20 or more.

What do you mean by "interesting" writer?

I mean that I don't need someone who will just do copy/paste work or write generically. That I can do myself. I want someone with news making passion and interesting character who knows what a news headline should sound like.

To begin with, I am looking for just 2 such daily contributors. If one doesn't perform well, the other will get his share of work.

On top of that, if your writing skills truly impress me, and your writing rate won't kill my budget, then we can look into expanding your activity, as well as having special investigations/materials/reports assigned.

    How to apply

Please email me at artashes #at# gmail.com and provide the following:

    1. related experience in the field of web hosting
    2. write a 50-word news brief sample (take any daily hosting news)
    3. your preferred writing rate (per word)

DO NOT PM ME unless its something urgent.

Please note that due to lack of time I will respond only to applications that apply according to aforementioned instructions and those that I find most interesting.

    Best,
    Artashes

Had a couple of applicants that clearly don't read how to apply properly, so I am looking for more candidates.

When you see somebody describing a too long requirement for hire a writer, you can imagine this person will pay at least US$25.00 per article.

I assume that people who write well also read well. And as such they will notice that one of the application requirements is to tell us what their preferred rate is. I don't have a set price, but we can negotiate it.

Are you able to pay for high quality articles? In DP you can find a lot of people that can write for you high quality articles but you don't need to write an extra-large application requirement. The only thing you for get ask is the social security number. Thanks!

I appreciate your sarcasm, but if you were ever considered for a writing position in the offline world, you'd notice that I actually don't ask enough.

However, since I am looking for someone to work as freelancer from home, I think 4 simple questions is enough to start the dialogue for potential long-term cooperation. But if its too much to ask, then simply don't apply.
