I have been working hard to improve my rankings in google for my main keyword - Spanish Translation - for either of my two sites - http://www.workforcelanguageservices.com or http://www.wlstranslations.com. Being a DYI SEO, I may be at the end of my efforts/abilities. I've been trying to build links, build content, create a blog, I'm going to start submitting articles... Now I need suggestions on how to take the next step. I'm very busy (being the SEO marketer/web designer is my part-part-time support job for my wife's business) and I am willing to take advice on how to do it myself, or hire someone to develop and implement SEO strategies. I've hired people from this forum on various task specific projects in the past. Does anyone have suggestions on either - what I can do or how I should going about hiring someone? My budget is very modest so I'm trying to spend my money as effectively as possible. Thanks for your suggestions. On a side note, I've been fortunate with some of my rankings and I don't want to mess any of them up. Currently, one of my sites comes up #2 for Spanish transcription and the other comes up #2 for Spanish interpretation.
Hi Mark, SEO never ends. Analysis is the most important key in this game. By just checking your site I notice there is still work left to do. I saw your site can be access by www and by non-www this will possibly end in dupe content. I notice you are running on apache. Here are some things you can still do: *Remove non-www or viceversa using .htaccess *Add a sitemap *analyze logs to find content needs Just a few points to keep you rolling.
I hired a guy from Canada, known for his great SEO skills. It was $95 for an hour of consultation and it was the best money spent on the site so far!
Thanks for your suggestions. I'll add a site map for sure. I tried doing a rewrite rule for the www issue, but it while it worked for the main site, it messed up my blog. I'll try again. As for looking at server logs, I look at them all the time, but trying to figure out where and what I need is always a challenge. Thanks for your help!
It sounds like you have some know how, I would hire a SEO consultant to tell you what to do and then you can do the heavy lifting and save yourself some money.
