I design like a developer and it looks like you do to. By this I mean you have content presented but it could look a little nicer. I'd add color down the sides like you see on NHL.com and the team sites within NHL.com. I am not sure if what you are doing with the scrolling Adsense ads is within terms of services, it does draw attention and probably isn't worth the risk. You also might want to post it at creasemonkey.com and ask for feedback.
