Looking for something better than CuteNews

I'm looking for a script that I can use and integrate into my own design and site, for posting of news articles, videos, whatever I want. I want to be able to manage it via a control panel, I want to be able to backup the sql database. CuteNews is great, but I'm sure theres something better out there, just have never found anything. Suggestions?

I dont think thats going to help me. I want to be able to post news in a site that I design and code.

Everything that you have listed you can do with xooArticles. You can get a design integration for free. You may look at this blog to see how the script works or test the demo version.
